SHAWNEE, Okla. - The University of Central Arkansas men's soccer team battled Oklahoma Baptist to a 1-1, 90-minute tie on Saturday evening. The Bears played 23 student-athletes in their final exhibition match before they open the regular season with Oral Roberts on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Bill Stephens Track/Soccer Complex.
Yalli Oliveira scored on a pass from Mattheus Costa in the 10th minute to give OBU an early lead. Senior Alex Parker tied the game in the 49th minute on a pass from freshman Nick Figaro.
Redshirt freshman DJ Sweet record four saves in the first half and sophomore Greg Brooks stopped one shot in the second half for UCA. Jacob Hibbard came up with three saves for the Bison.
