With the 2012 UCA football home opener against Bacone College on Sept. 15 less than three months away, the unveiling of the suites overlooking First Security Field at Estes Stadium is rapidly approaching. 

UCA athletics officials were able to give suite holders their first look at the boxes this week as construction nears completion.

"This was our first chance to show what these suites will look like to our suite holders," said Dr. Brad Teague, UCA Director of Athletics. "The rooms are taking shape, so our patrons can get a sense of how it will feel to watch our games from their box. The tour was exciting, and we got a chance to show the furniture which will fill each box. Everyone is anxious for September 15, and seeing these suites coming closer to being finished products adds to the excitement level. We're all looking forward to seeing them come together over the next couple months."

The Bears will open the season on the road at Ole Miss on Sept. 1 and at Murray State on Sept. 8, then make their debut on The Stripes the following week against Bacone. It will be the first of six home games this season, with defending Southland Conference champion and national runner-up Sam Houston State coming to town on Sept. 22, Nicholls State on Oct. 6 for Hall of Fame weekend, Lamar making its first-ever football trip to Conway on Oct. 20, Northwestern State for Homecoming on Nov. 3, and Eastern Illinois in a non-conference contest to end the regular season on Nov. 17.
