MEMPHIS, Tenn. _ The University of Central Arkansas men finished third and the women fourth on Saturday at the Rhodes College Invitational at Shelby Farms.

    UCA's men finished with a score of 78, trailing only Northern Kentucky and Memphis among the 18 teams. Senior Jonathan Burgess was UCA's top finisher for the third consecutive meet, covering the 8K in 26:03.00. Freshman Julien Jeandree was 12th in a time of 26:29.50, followed by junior Josh Quiroga in 17th (26:37.60) and sophomore Grant Williams in 21st (26:53.90). 

    Freshman Preston Borg was 22nd (26:55.90), while junior Albert Maeder was 24th (26:59.30).

    On the women's side, UCA finished with a score of 136, trailing Memphis, Arkansas State and UALR in the 16-team field. Sophomore Brigette Caruthers finished 11th overall in a time of 22:49.10 for the 6K course. Freshman Diana Moreno was right behind in 12th (22:58.40). Freshman Layne Sargussen finished 30th (24:08.50), while junior Sophie Clauss was 36th (24:22.90). Junior Madison Sewell finished 51st (24:49.40).
