UCA RELAYS SCORE POINTS AT SLC OUTDOOR

    CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas _ University of Central Arkansas sophomore Eric Moore won the high jump title Sunday at the 2016 Southland Conference Track and Field Outdoor Championships at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Dugan Soccer & Track Stadium.

    Moore, from Rialto, Calif., cleared 6-11.75, sweeping both the SLC indoor and outdoor titles. UCA's men finished eighth overall with 35 total points. Stephen F. Austin won the men's division. The UCA women finished 13th overall with seven points, with Sam Houston State winning the women's championship.

    On the men's side, UCA's 4x400 relay team of Anthony Hamilton, Aaron Hamilton, Daniel Lawson and Sharad Mackey finished sixth in a time of 3:18.86. In the 4x100 relay, UCA's Roy Lowery, Nicholas Holt, Ethan Bly and Mackey finished fifth in 41.51 to add four points. 

    Junior James Lassiter picked up two points with a seventh-place finish in the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 14.65, tied for the ninth-best time in school history.

    For the UCA women, the 4x400 relay team of Samantha Ellis, Samantha Gibson, Molly Sampson and Jasmine Richard finished eighth in a time of 3:53.65, the ninth-best time in UCA history. In the 400 meter hurdles, Victoria Campfield finished eighth in a time of 1:04.19.
