COLLEGE STATION, Texas _ The University of Central Arkansas men's cross country team finished 17th at Friday's NCAA South Central Regional held at Texaas A&M's  Watts XC Course.

Junior Markus Schweikert was UCA's top finisher, running a 31:36.7 for a 50th place finish over the 10K course. Senior Preston Borg was next for UCA, finishing 60th in a time of 31:50.9. Sophomore Jaron Hamilton finished 73rd in 32:05.1, while junior Julien Jeandree was 103rd in 32:33.9.

Junior Brant Cook finished 105th in a time of 32:36.5, while sophomore Anthony Rono finished 158th in 35:48.2.

On the women's side, UCA's lone runner was junior Taylor Dunn. She finished 72nd overall in a time of  21.50 over the 6K course. Her time was the eighth-best in school history.
