  FRISCO, Texas _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears grabbed five of the seven Southland Conference football postseason individual awards on Tuesday, along with having a league-high 20 student-athletes named to the All-SLC teams, including 10 first-teamers, two second teamers and eight honorable mentions.
   Heading the list was fourth-year head coach Steve Campbell, who was named the SLC Coach of the Year after leading the Bears to an undefeated SLC championship. UCA finished the regular season 10-1 overall and 9-0 in league play and is ranked No. 3 in both national FCS polls. The Bears earned the No. 4 seed in the FCS Playoffs and drew a first-round bye this weekend before hosting a second-round game on "The Stripes" on Saturday, Dec. 2.
   Senior quarterback Hayden Hildebrand was named the SLC Player of the Year, senior linebacker/safety George Odum was the SLC Defensive Player of the Year, junior John Austin Cook was the SLC Offensive Lineman of the Year and redshirt freshman running back Kierre Crossley was the SLC Freshman of the Year.

   First-team All-SLC selections included: Hildebrand, Cook, Odum, senior wide receiver Brandon Cox, senior offensive lineman Gilberto Garcia and Cade Camp, senior defensive ends Chris Chambers and Chris Terrell, senior defensive tackle Eric Jackson and senior cornerback Tremon Smith.Â
   Second-teamers included: sophomore running back Carlos Blackman and sophomore safety Juan Jackson. Honorable mentions selections for the Bears included: Crossley, senior center Micah Parten, junior all-purpose back Cedric Battle, junior placekicker Matt Cummins, senior punter Patrick Ponder, senior safety Jaylon Lofton, senior wide receiver Roman Gordon and senior linebacker James Graves.
   Hildebrand (Bossier City, La.) finished the regular season as the most efficient passer in the nation at 181.3 and was 15th in the nation in passing yards (2,768). Hildebrand threw 27 touchdown passes with just seven interceptions. He is now second in career passing yards at UCA, as well as pass completions (560), pass attempts (887) and total offense (7,988).
   Odum (Millington, Tenn.), UCA's leading tackler in 2016 and again this season, has moved into fourth place in career tackles at UCA with 338, including 30 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. For the season, Odum is No. 2 in the SLC in tackles with 106.Â
   Crossley (Everman, Texas) is UCA's leading rusher 770 yards on 146 carries, for a 5.3-yard average per carry with four touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 128 yards. Cook (Grenada, Miss.) is a pre-med major and All-SLC Academic selection who helped the Bears' offense average 37.6 points and 468.2 yards per game this season _ both second in the SLC _ while winning 10 straight games. Garcia (Morrilton, Ark.) and Camp (Allen, Texas), also both graduates, led a UCA offense that rushed for 207.8 yards per game and passed for 260.4). UCA's offensive line has allowed only six sacks through 11 games, which ranks second in the country.Â
   Cox (Conway, Ark.) led the Bears in receptions with 38 for 766 yards and six touchdowns. His 69.6 receiving yards per game ranked third in the conference.Â
   Defensively, Chambers (Pearl, Miss.), Jackson (Apopka, Fla.) and Terrell (Pensacola, Fla.) dominated up front for the UCA defense, one that has recorded 37 sacks and 92 tackles for loss, both which rank in the Top 10 in the nation. Terrell leads the SLC in sacks (11.0) and tackles for loss (19.5), while Jackson is third in sacks (10.0) and tied for third in TFL (16.0). Chambers is ninth in tackles for loss (11.5) and 11th in sacks (5.5), while forcing four fumbles.
   Tre Smith (Anniston, Ala.) is second in the conference in interceptions with five anad third in passes defended (5 INT, 10 PBU). He also has one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Jackson (Gardendale, Ala.) is UCA's No. 2 tackler with 72 stops, including 51 solo tackles. He also has a pair of interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown.
   Blackman (Gosnell, Ark.) was UCA's No. 2 rusher, just behind Crossley with 702 yards and a team-high nine touchdowns, which ranked fourth in the SLC.
   Parten (Flowood, Miss.) was a two-year starter at center for the Bears, while Battle (Wichita Falls, Texas) was sixth in the SLC in all-purpose yards in his first season at UCA. Cummins (Conway, Ark.) was third in the conference in field goals (13 of 17) and second in kick scoring (7.9 ppg), while Ponder (Bay St. Louis, Miss.) was third in the SLC in punting (40.8 average). Lofton (Forest, Miss.) has 39 tackles. 4.0 tackles for loss and nine pass breakups from his safety position. Graves (Bassfield, Miss.) is UCA's third-leading tackler with 59 total tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss.Â
   Gordon (Fort Worth, Texas) is UCA's second-leading receiver with 32 catches for 580 yards and a team-high seven touchdown receptions.Â
   The All-Southland Conference teams are voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors. Voting for one's own athletes is not permitted. To receive honorable mention, a player must appear on 25 percent of ballots. Â
