The $3.5 million Bill Stephens Track/Soccer Complex opened in 2009, giving the University of Central Arkansas a top-notch soccer field and world class track surface.
The track surface is
Mondotrack, the official track surface of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Mondotrack, made by Mondo – the global leader in the sports flooring market, replaced the company's Super X Performance track, which had been the track surface for the previous eight Olympic games.
The soccer surface is a natural grass field that features an advanced drainage system which minimizes the effects of rainfall on the field, providing a consistent, safe playing surface for the student-athletes.
The facility received lights in 2013, opening with a UCA soccer record crowd of 622 for the UCA women's game against Arkansas State on August 30, 2013. The next night, the men's team recorded the first win under the lights, defeating Houston Baptist 2-1 in double overtime.
The Stephens Complex served as the host site for the 2014 Southland Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship, and hosted the 2015, 2019 Southland Conference Women's Soccer Tournament.
